Saskatoon, October 20, 2026 – In an effort contribute in the fight against food insecurity, Saskatoon Mitsubishi has once again joined Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada’s Driving to End Hunger campaign.
Throughout the month of September, Mitsubishi Motors and its 99 dealers across Canada raised funds and collected food to donate to local and national initiatives.
Locally, Saskatoon Mitsubishi donated 1,392 pounds of food to Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre during one of the most in-demand times of the year for local food banks.
The Saskatoon Mitsubishi team worked together to collect food donations at their dealership all month long, and ran a one-day drive outside of the Saskatoon Co-op in Stonebridge. In addition, the dealership also donated $100 to Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre for every new vehicle sold during the month.
Collectively, Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada and its dealer network donated $340,000 along with 2,800 kilograms of food through the 2026 Driving to End Hunger campaign. In addition to dealer-led fundraising efforts, MMSCAN contributed to Food Banks Canada, while employees at its head office and Parts Distribution Centre in Mississauga, ON supported local food banks through food drives and volunteer initiatives.
Kenichi Kawaji, President and CEO of Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada, said Driving to End Hunger reflects the company's long-standing commitment to giving back in the communities where its employees, dealers and customers live and work.
"Driving to End Hunger continues to show what's possible when our network comes together to support Canadians," he said. "Once again this year, every Mitsubishi Motors dealer across the country participated in the campaign. That continued commitment from our dealers, employees and customers is making a meaningful difference in communities from coast to coast."
Since MMSCAN’s partnership with Food Banks Canada began six years ago, the company and its dealers have donated more than $1 million and more than 10,000 kg of food to national and local organizations fighting against food insecurity in this country.
